She married Booker on Sept 29, 1850 in Pontotoc CO., MS. Booker was apparently a very successful farmer owning property in more than one county. Elizabeth & Booker had at least 4 children. I only have 3 names. Henrietta -b. abt. 1865 , Caroline -b. abt 1868 and Richard L. Foster b. abt. 1875. All were born in Union CO., MS. Elizabeth's brother, John Calhoun Russell is my Great Grandfather. I would be happy to swap Russell info for anything on this family and their decendents. Bill Roach bmroach@gulftel.com

I have no first hand knowledge of that family, and, I usually only enter people into my database up until 1890 as a rule unless it is donated by a family to me. Hello, Just a simple question, what does MAINS mean as in Mains of Advie. Thanks John.
William was born 1781 in Georgia. He shows up on colonial land records in Franklin County, GA in early 1800's. Last mention there in 1808. He is listed that year on census of Mississippi Territory. He married Elizabeth ? in 1820. She was born in 1800 also in GA. William petitioned for a land grant in MS in 1815; he obtained it in 1817 in Wayne Co north of Waynesboro. I believe he was in the War of 1812. Their children were S. O., Francis, James, Albert G., John, Zachariah, Ebenezer and Solomon. Zachariah and Ebenezer died as a result of the Civil War. Francis, James and Solomon came to Texas. Solomon was my great-grandfather. I am very interested in finding the ancestors of William and Elizabeth and more information on Solomon's siblings.
Would like to know if anyone has any information on the Russell family in Waxahachie, TX. The children were John, Hallie, Houston, Tull, German, Alie Mae and Thomas H. Russell. Thomas married Nannie Kincaid and their children were Minnie, William Thomas, Lindsey, Mollie, Carrie, Dave, Nannie M., and Irven. Would like to know who Thomas' father was and who he was to whom he was married. He probably lived in Waxahachie, TX, but Thomas and Nancy Kincaid lived in Giles Co. and both are buried in Evans-Angus Cemetery in Giles Co.

I'm looking for descendents of Mr. & Mrs. W.E. Russell of Benton Harbor, MI. They had five children: Eleanor Thornton, Hunter, Albert, Robert and Howard. In 1950 Eleanor lived in Rockford, IL; Hunter in Glenview, IL; Albert in Jasper, IN; Robert in Park Ridge, IL and Howard in Mayview, NJ. What were the grandchildren's names? What were Mrs. Russell's Christian and Maiden names? W.E. Russell's father and my great grandfather were brothers. I'm trying to update a genealogy I have on the Russell family and bring various branches of the family up to the present. My book stops with the generation of my grandfather. I'm willing to share information. Jim

There is some evidence that he may have moved to Wauwatosa, but no proof yet. Please contact me at RWAlila@aol.com, or contact the West Allis Historical Society at 414-541-6970.
