Our John F. Russell, son of William, was born in 1829 in New Jersey, married Melissa in Indiana, about 1850 and raised his children (Hattie, Fred and Carrie) in Minnesota. I do not have his death date. His father William may have died in Iowa in 1850. Sorry, we do not seem to be linked with your Russell family. They were all born sometime between 1820-1835 approx. I have only found one death cert (for Timothy) and it states that the father was John Russell. I would have to guess that the mother's name was Julia when I look at the naming patterns of the children. Would any of these names look familiar to you?
