Answer to the Samuel Russell (1780) query I may have some info on this Samuel. Right now I am in Cancun and do not have the info in front of me. The interesting part of your query was the marriage to a Winslow. I also have a Russell -Winslow connection in Indiana, Fairmount, Jonesboro area, in the 1840 to 1860 time period. If it is the same Winslow family they populated and large section of Grant County in the early 1800,s and spread out from there. When I was in Indiana in 1999 I found there are still a lot of them on their old farms. My Russell's migrated from Wash county PA about 1820 and met the Winslows on the way. John Russell was born in Wash county in 1799 and one of his children was a Samuel. John's father was also a Samuel and he had a Samuel for a brother. What area is your history from?
