I know nothing of the Russell family. I only know Clarissa's first name getting it from the 1850 federal census for New Albion and getting her maiden name from her daughter’s death certificate in Michigan. I have learned that families and extended families migrated together so there is a very good chance that the two women are related but I couldn’t prove it.

Born in Whitley, England, he resided in Halifax for the last fifty years, and was a former caretaker of the Halifax Isolation Hospital. They moved to Henry County, Illinois where Celah Ann died and Hugh married the widow Mary Scofield. Hugh was last found in 1880 census in Whitman County, Washington. At least two of his children William Bennett Russell and Sidney Russell settled in Oregon where they are last found in 1920 census. Looking for anyone who is descended from them. Have a lot of Russell data/willing to share.
