Her husband David Russell died there on June 25th, and is buried in La Fontaine Cemetary. Some of her children moved to Oregon. I would like to find out what happened to Martha after 1860. At that time she had two single daughters still at home Mary and Lovina and one married daughter Charlotte Siders.

Thomas, dec'd, April 1892 court term; index of court order book refers to page 185 but pg not on microfilm viewed at FHC Rockdale, TX years ago. Does anyone know of a family connection between the Russell and Thomas families? I have looked for years for the parents and possible siblings of Silas M. Thomas, b. 1822 in TN, on Robertson Co., TN 1850 census, Logan Co., KY censuses until 1880. He is my gg-grandfather and I have put all the information I have on the family in the Logan County Genealogy Society files. Thank you for any information.
I have just begun research on this surname and am looking for Charlotte Russell and Leverett Russell of New Britain. Also Mary Russell who married a Mr. Mack, possibly John. The time period for John and Mary Russell Mack - the would have married about the late 1810s as a son was born in 1819. I have no time period for the Russells, Charlotte and Leverett, except that Charlotte might be Marry's sister. I don't know if Leverett is male or female but I believe male. We have a number of baptismal records, including information from 1937 putting this Russell family in the Drimoleague area. My Patrick Russell b abt 1817 migrated to US about 1845 and migrated to Houston Co., Minnesota by about 1853, along with his brother James. My great grandfather, Henry Russell settled in Flandreau, Moody Co., S.D. we have good information back to Drimoleague, but lack migration data, marriage data (for Patrick Russell b1817). He apparently married in VA about 1845. His wife, Ellen McCarthy appears to have come from west of Skibbereen area.
