We think he could be the half brother of my wife Ann who is the daughter of James Charles Bellwood. In his biography on the dictionary of Biography of New Zealand this relationship is mentioned. http://www.dnzb.govt.nz/dnzb/default.asp?Find_Quick.asp?PersonEssay=5B22 Ann is descended from a NZ Robertson line (James) who I believe are another family you have an interest in and Dorcas Mary Skerrett. We have compiled a considerable amount of information on this part of our family tree and would be very happy to share any information that we have that is of interest. Regards, Francis

Surnames: Reuck, Grimes, Lambert, Behnke, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oZEBAIB/4693.1 Message Board Post: Look at the IGI and Ancestrial File records from the LDS Church, as they were listed there. Familysearch.org allows us to search this online. You probably already found these by now as I see you wrote this three years ago. According to an IGI record, your Mildred Reuck's information: Mildred R. Reuck, female born in 1838 in IL. Her parents' names were Nathaniel Reuck, male, died in 1864. Nathaniel's wife was Katherine Grimes, and they were married about 1837 in IL. Mildred's brothers and sisters: Theodore Reuck, male, born about 1839 in IL. John N. Reuck, born about 1848 in IL. Batch No F858125, Sheet 003, Source call 1396085 for these records in actual film. Also listed Katherine Grimes' birth year as 1818 from Virginia. Marriage about 1837. Nathaniel Reuck's birth about 1814 from Virginia and death again was 1864. They had many children. (Mary Ellen Reuck's parents as far as I can tell from the IGI records). Mildred Reuck, a sister, birth was 30 Nov. 1838 in Adams County, IL. Mildred was married to Stedman Smith on 10 Jan 1856. This again was from a Pedigree Chart on the IGI. Ancestrial File Match from LDS records: (at least these are all possible or assumed matches to you Mary Ellen Reuck): Mary Ellen Reuck, born 4 Sept 1846 in Hannibal, MO and died on 23 Feb 1926 in Nacona, TX and was married 21 Feb. 1861 (Possible match). Her brother, again this is from ancestrial file: Theodore Reuck born 1839 in Ursla, IL and died 3 April 1893 in Sutter Buttes, Sutter, GA. (Microfilm 1394130). The family was from an area near Quincy, IL as I had heard that from a relative. This is in Adams County. I had heard she lived near Eartha, IL. Looks like many of the kids were born in Ursla, IL, in Adams County. IGI listing on one mentioned Aaron Reuck and a Nancy as parents of Nathaniel Reuck, unable to find more on them at this time. Catherine Grimes' parents Abraham Grimes and Susannah Speers, again those are possible matches, if that is the same family. I am just sharing what I found from other people's work submitted on the IGI listing. Family Group Record from the IGI lists a long list of children of Nathaniel Reuck and Katherine Grimes: Sure hope this helps you as well as other online genealogy researchers: Mildred Reuck born 30 Nov 1838 Adams County, IL Reuck male (no name listed) born on 4 Jan 1843 Springfield, Sangamon, IL Mary Ellen Reuck born 4 Sept 1845 in Ursa, Adams County, IL death date was listed as 24 Feb 1926. Lydia Reuck, female, birth 11 Mar 1851 Ursa, Adams County IL, she lived in on a farm in Lafayette near Galva, IL Lydia married in 1869 to Joseph G. Lambert and she died on 3 May 1932 buried in Galva, IL. Aaron Reuck born 6 Aug 1853 in Ursa, Adams Co. IL died 2 Feb 1926. Harriet Reuck, female, born 29 Dec 1855 in Ursa, Adams, IL and died 22 Dec 1904. Eliza J Reuck born 17 May 1858 in Ursa, Adams, IL and died 30 July 1936. Sarah F. Reuck, born 26 Feb 1861 in Ursa, Adams, IL so those are Mary Ellen Reuck Russell's brothers and sisters. Now how are you and I related: On my father's side, one of my ancestors was a Lydia Reuck, who was married to Joseph Graham Lambert. One of their children was Emily Ellen Lambert, who was one of my ancestors. She had married Charles John Behnke who was another of my ancestors.
