I am tracing the descendents of Thomas and Bridget MACKIN, County Mayo, Ireland, to Marion Co., Ky. In recent baptismal record research in Lebanon, KY , I've seen Bridget's name written as Bridget RUSH, which I assume is her maiden name. She was born about 1805 in Ireland (her husband was born in Co. Mayo, but she may not have been). She died 20 Feb 1890 in Marion Co., KY. The family immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1850s. Before Thomas died in 1854, they were keepers of the tollgate on the Springfield Turnpike (which I believe is Sulphur Springs Road).
