She was born Sept. > 16, 1938, in Stewartville, Minn., to Zephry and Irene (Struve) Peterson. On > Feb. 12, 1966, she married Donald Altergott in Aurora. Mrs. Altergott lived > in Prospect Valley from 1966-84 and had lived in Roggen since 1985. She > graduated from Rochester High School in Rochester, Minn. A homemaker, she > also helped her husband as a bookkeeper for his business, Prospect Implement > Co. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, painting, cooking and caring for family. > Survivors are her husband, Donald Altergott of Roggen; two daughters, Traci > Altergott of Grand Junction and Terri Ewing of Aurora; a son, Tim Altergott > of Denver; a sister, Marge McDonald of Aurora; two brothers, Donald Peterson > of Rochester and Douglas Peterson of Montana; and two grandsons, Justin and > Jared Ewing.
