Reporter-Herald died 25 June 1977 (on AHSGR obit card) Henry Bauer, 81, of 901 E. Seventh, died Saturday (June 25) in a local nursing home following a short illness. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30am at Hunters' Garden chapel with the Rev. Robert J. Peters of First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Mr. Bauer was born July 3, 1895 at Frank, Russia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Borgens Bauer. He was married in Loveland Jan. 29, 1918 to Kathryn Frickel. The Bauers lived all of their married lives in the Loveland area. They farmed until 1940 when they moved into Loveland to live in the house where Mrs. Bauer had been reared as a child. He worked at Krohs Nursery and Great Western Sugar factory. Survivors include one son, Clyde Bauer of Fort Collins; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Potter of Alpine, Calif.; two brothers, John Bauer of Beatrice, Neb. and Carl Bauer of Greeley; four grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, May 9, 1977, two brothers and two sisters.
