She was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Windsor to Fred and > Eva Elizabeth (Herring) Ruff. Miss Ruff's parents came to Wyoming in 1912 > from Diltel, Russia. They moved to the Windsor area in 1915. She was reared > and educated in Windsor and worked as a housekeeper for a family, the Olsens > of Windsor, for many years. She also helped in a clothing store owned by the > family in downtown Windsor, as well as in the beet fields. She enjoyed > crocheting, embroidering, gardening, baking and making noodles. Although > never married, she was an important member of a large extended family. She > was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, Windsor. She also was a member > of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Windsor Senior Citizens and > Bethel Lutheran Senior Friendship Group. Survivors are a nephew, Elmer > Walker of Windsor, and a grandniece, Linda Baldwin of Estes Park. Six > sisters, Kathryn Ackroyd, Eva Kristina Reichert, Mary Wagner, Mollie > Schilling, Lydia Ruff and Elizabeth Walker, and a brother, Jacob Ruff, are > deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran, 328 > Walnut, Windsor. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor. Friends > may visit from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Adamson Windsor Chapel.
