Mrs. Dietz was born on Sept. 18, 1917, to Fred and Lizzie > (Woit) Martin. She married David Dietz on Dec. 17, 1940, in Greeley. Mrs. > Dietz worked on her dad's farm while she was growing up. She worked as a > nanny in Alabama. Mrs. Dietz worked on her husband's farm in the Pierce and > Ault areas until 1967, when the couple moved to Lucerne. In 1983, they > retired and moved to Greeley. Mrs. Dietz loved her yard, gardening, baking > and her prize-winning lemon pies. Survivors are a daughter, Mary Elizabeth > Henneck of Greeley; a son, Donald Lee Dietz of Platteville; three brothers, > Albert Martin of Greeley, Lawrence Martin of Philadelphia and Danny Martin > of Littleton; two sisters, Helen Schaffer and Dorothy Peif, both of Greeley; > six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death > by a son, David Charles Dietz; three grandsons, Matthew A. Henneck, Michael > Henneck and Darrell Dietz; and a granddaughter, Pamela Sue Henneck. Services > will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. > Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit from 2-8 > p.m. today.
