    3. Fort Morgan Times Fort Morgan, Colorado 06-09-02 Alex Reisig, 91, of Brush died Thursday at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. Reisig was born April 1, 1911, to Fred and Mary Reisig in Herrington, Kan. He married Anna E. Henry in 1935. They farmed and fed cattle for many years in the Scottsbluff, Neb. area, and in 1963 they moved to Fort Morgan and continued to farm and raise cattle. Reisig received many awards during his years in farming. In 1941 he received the Great Western Sugar Co. High Ten Grower Award for Minatare, Neb., for highest beet production. Again in 1953, he was awarded the High Ten Grower Award in Gering, Neb. Then in 1973 he was given the NC+ Hybrids 200+ Award for a yield of 204 bushels per acre of irrigated corn using NC+ 55 SC. Reisig farmed with his wife until 1976. At that time they started the A and A Used Equipment Co. They ran that business until 1999 when Reisig retired at age 88. He is preceded in death by his wife. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
