She was born May 31, 1921, in La Salle to Henry H. and > Frederica (Oster) Engel. On June 30, 1940, she married Charles Reid in La > Salle. He is deceased. Mrs. Reid attended Beebe Draw School and graduated > from Platteville High School in 1939. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, > cross-stitching, yarn art, painting, gardening, dancing and playing cards. > She was past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries of Posts > 6624 and 6011. She was president of the PTA, and a member of the Weld County > Farm Bureau, Republican Women, Farmerettes, 39ers, Extension Club, La Salle > Lions Club, Greeley Senior Center, Women of the Moose No. 117 and was a > volunteer at North Colorado Medical Center and Bonell. Survivors are two > daughters, LuAnn Brewer and Charlotte Moser, both of Greeley; a son, David > K. Reid of Oak Creek; a sister, Louise Davis of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; 12 > grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Patty Winters, four > sisters, Ann, Margaret, Isabelle and Esther, and two brothers, Carl and > Harold, are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at La Salle First > Presbyterian Church, La Salle. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, > Greeley.
