GETTIG, GOETTIG, GIDDICH, GITTICH, GOETICH, GETTICH, GETIG, GEDIG, GOTTIG and other variant spellings I am researching Georg GOETTIG of Pfeifer b ca 1768 m Maria Eva and their descendants. I am hoping it will lead to my Maria GETTIG (and variant spellings) b ca 1860. Maria is of German decent who went to Frank, Russia by 1882. Maria and her husband stayed in Russia but all 3 of her children came to America by 1904. My father Leo HERMAN 2nd generation to America b 1913 claimed that the English spelling his father used for his mother Maria was GIDDICH.
