Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 01-26-02 Glenn Sechler Glenn A. Sechler, 85, of Johnstown died Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. He was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Jamestown, N.D., to Harvey and Ruth (De Lozier) Sechler. On April 8, 1950, he married Wilma Ballinger at her mothers home in Johnstown. Mr. Sechler graduated from Mead High School in 1936. He served in the army for four years in the African and European theaters of operation during World War II. He was employed by the Great Western Sugar Co. for 27œ years before he retired. A jack of all trades, Mr. Sechler was able to fix just about anything. He loved helping people. He was a volunteer fireman in Johnstown for 22 years. He was a member of Johnstown Post No. 2585, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8, Greeley. Survivors are his wife, Wilma Sechler of Johnstown; a sister, Zelma Barr of Medford, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Homer and Lynn, are deceased. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may visit from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Adamson Memorial West Chapel.
