Greetings: My name is Kenneth Arthur Crips, I am 49 years of age living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Through My mother's side I am descended from the Eckhardts, and Schmidt's of Frank, Russia. As I understand it These two families where with the original settlement of the community in 1767. The Schmidt's emigrated to the US in 1900, and ended up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. I never Knew Conrad Schmidt, My Great Grandfather, he died before I was born. Anna-Marie Schmidt(ne Eckhardt) lived to the grand age of 104. Those family members who stayed in Frank, as with so many others, where deported to Siberia never to be heard from again. I have numerous Aunts and Uncles, cousins, etc, living in the Scottsbluff area. I will be nice getting in touch with this part of My heritage.
