Fort Morgan Times Fort Morgan, Colorado 05-11-02 Henry J. Walker, 87, of Denver died Saturday at the Veterans Nursing Home in Aurora where he had been for the past year. Walker was born in Delta Sept. 4, 1914, to Casper and Lena Walker. He served in the Army for four years and in World War II as an interpreter for his battalion. Walker farmed in and around the Fort Morgan, Brush and Sterling areas until 1959 when he moved to Denver. He worked for the City and County of Denver for 14 years when he retired. Walker is survived by his wife, Caroline, whom he married on June 10, 1947, and children Linda Wolfe, Ken Walker, Marilyn Nosbish and Jacque Walker; four brothers: Gerhardt, George, Jake and Karl; two sisters: Marilyn and Frieda Walker; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Bear Valley Christian Church, 6800 W. Hampden Ave., Lakewood. He will be buried with full military honors at Fort Logan Military Cemetery in Lakewood at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at 2 p.m. at the Holiday Hills Village Clubhouse, 2000 W. 92nd Ave., Federal Heights.
