The couple had lived in Longmont, New Mexico and > Goodland. > > Mr. Eckhardt served in the U.S. Army Reserve. > > He had a passion for farming and ranching, which he did his entire life. He > loved going to cattle sales and owned and operated the Nutri-Tech Fertilizer > Co. 1984 to 1994. > > Mr. Eckhardt was a member of several groups, including Rocky Mountain Beet > Growers Association. He was a 4-H leader for many years, a fertilizer > consultant and a brilliant businessman.
