    3. Longmont newspaper Longmont, Colorado 05-24-02 Balthser Hepp of Brighton died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Brighton Care Center. He was 94. He was born June 16, 1907, to Nicolas and Dorothea (Bieker) Hepp in Schoenchen, Kan. On Feb. 12, 1930, he married Catherine Kramer in Brighton. Mr. Hepp moved to the Brighton area in 1965. He operated several farms near Brighton and also worked for Great Western Sugar Co. Mr. Hepp was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle and Dutch hop dancing. He played semi-pro baseball in Kansas City. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Hepp was preceded in death by his wife in 1996; a brother, Alex; and three sisters, Helen Frick, Barbara Getz and Pauline Dreiling. He is survived by four sons, Robert D. Hepp and his wife Nadine of Firestone, Don Hepp and his wife Wynona "Nonie" of Longmont, Tom Hepp of Longmont and Larry Hepp of Brighton; two daughters, Dorothy Sack and her husband George of Broomfield and Shirley Stroh and her husband Dwayne of Longmont; two brothers, Tony Hepp of Northglenn and Richard Hepp of Brighton; a sister, Catherine Staab of Denver; 23 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 20, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brighton Care Center, 2025 E. Egbert St., Brighton 80601. Tabor Funeral Home in Brighton is handling arrangements.
