    3. Loveland newspaper Loveland, Colorado 02-02-02 Glenn A. Sechler of Johnstown died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Bonell Good Samaritan Center in Greeley. He was 85. Mr. Sechler was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Jamestown, N.D., to Harvey and Ruth De Lozier Sechler. He married Wilma Ballinger April 8, 1950, at her mother's home in Johnstown. He graduated from Mead High School in 1936, then joined the U.S. Army. He served in the African and European theaters for four years during World War II. He worked for the Great Western Sugar Co. for more than 27 years. He was a "jack of all trades" and was able to fix anything. He loved helping people. A volunteer firefighter in Johnstown for 22 years, Mr. Sechler also was a member of Johnstown Post No. 2585 Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a life member of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 8, in Greeley. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer and Lynn. Mr. Sechler is survived by his wife of Johnstown; a sister, Zelma Barr of Medford, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 27, at Adamson Memorial West Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnstown Volunteer Fire Department in care of Adamson Memorial West Chapel, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley 80634
