Fort Morgan Times Fort Morgan, Colorado 02-21-02 Mary Alice Hackle, 90, dies Wednesday, February 20, 2002 - Mary Alice Hackle, 90, of Akron died Tuesday at the Washington County Nursing Home of Akron. Mrs. Hackle was born Dec. 11, 1911, to Paul and Margaret (Zinger) Humbel in rural Otis. The family moved to Wisconsin in 1920, later moving back to the Otis area. She married Louie Hackle on Sept. 2, 1936, in Sterling. They moved to Wisconsin in 1942 where he went to work for Wisconsin Power & Light and Lyman Co. After he retired in 1977, they moved back to Otis where she resided until going into the nursing home in Akron. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; a daughter, Elaine Newman; a brother, Paul Humbel, and a sister, Helen Jackson. She is survived by her brother, Sammuel Humbel of Monroe, Wis.; a sister, Pauline Cunningham of Pueblo; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Otis Cemetery with Rev. Robert Miller officiating.
