Yakima Herald Republic Yakima, Washington February 7, 2001 ALMA SCHLAGEL Alma Schlagel, 97, died Monday in Summitview Healthcare Center. Mrs. Schlagel was born in Flaxton, N.D.; and moved to Bow Island in Alberta, Canada as a child. She had live in Yakima for 76 years, helped on the family fram and did seasonal work in fruit packing warehouses. Survivors include three sons, Don Schlagel and Walt Schlagel both of Yakima, and Bill Schlagel of Othello; a sister Eileen Harmon; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be Saturday morning followed by a 1 p.m. memorial service at Westside United Methodist Church. Keith and Keith Furneral Home, Yakima in charge of arrangements.
