'Fritz' Walker, 89, of Haven Home in Kenesaw (NE) died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Chirstian Church in Hastings with the Rev. Judith Allen officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Mr. Walker was born to Aug. 17, 1912, to George* and Kathryn (Dietz** ) Walker in Grand Island He moved to Hastings at age 3. He attended Hastings Public Schools. On Jan. 2, 1937, he married Wanda Keeler in Smith Center, Kan. He worked at Western Land Roller for 49 years, retiring in 1977. He managed the Wintergarden Ballroom from 1950-1960. He was a member of First Christian Church, Knights of Pythias and the Eagles, all in Hastings. Survivors are his wife of Hastings, two daughters, Dixie Bohlen of Hastings and Carol Stuhr of Kearney; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
