Loveland Newspaper Loveland, Colorado 02-19-02 Norman V. Bath, 76, of Loveland, died Feb. 16, 2002, at Sierra Vista Health Care Center in Loveland. He was born in Kanopolis, Kan., on June 8, 1925, to T.R. and Nellie Duley Bath. He and his family moved to St. John, Kan., where he attended St. John schools. He graduated from St. John High School in 1943. After graduation, he worked in shipyards in California. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in the newspaper business at the St. John Capital and the St. John News in Kansas and was editor and owner of the Sylvia Sun in Sylvia, Kan., in the early 1950s. After moving to Loveland in 1963, he was employed at the Loveland Daily Reporter-Herald for 25 years. On June 9, 1950, he married Anna Zvolanek in Wilson, Kan. He is survived by: his wife, Anna, of Loveland; son, Mitchell Bath of Redlands, Calif; daughters, Ginger Bowman and husband Gary of Loveland and Roxanne Lucero of Ellsworth, Kan.; sister, Dorothy Maze and husband Tom of Ellsworth; brother, James Bath and wife Barbara of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Eric Bowman of Denver, Marcy Bowman of Loveland, David Lucero and wife Katie of Salina, Kan., Catherine Lucero and Andrew Lucero of Ellsworth; and one great-grandson, Devon Lucero of Salina. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Ruth Firestone; and his brother, the Rev. Charles S. Bath. He loved his family, and they loved him. Cremation has been conducted, and there will be no services, as he requested. Memorial contributions may be made to the Loveland Public Library in care of the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
