Longmont newspaper Longmont, Colorado 02-19-02 Anne Bauer of Longmont died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Life Care Center in Longmont. She was 92. She was born May 5, 1909, in Sterling to John Edward Sewald and Anna Marie (Dillie) Sewald. She married Alex Bauer on January 17, 1928, in Sterling. The couple moved to Longmont shortly after their marriage and farmed in the Longmont area until retiring and moving into town in 1970. Her husband preceded her in death in 1978. She worked for the Longmont Florists as a designer for a number of years. She was very active in the Alter and Rosary Society. She was the oldest member of the organization. She was also involved with the County Extension and the B.P.O.E. Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Jane Davis; and by 12 sisters and brothers. She is survived by three daughters; Betty Lou Dorr and her husband Jack, Joan Gold and her husband Joe of Longmont, Dorothy Anne Davis and her husband George of Golden. She is further survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Recitation of the Rosary will be held 7 p.m. today, Feb. 18, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Mr. Steve DePlato officiating. A private family Mass will be held later, with an interment to follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Visitation hours will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the Howe Mortuary
