    3. Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 03-24-02 Elmer G. Peppler, 73, of Greeley died Saturday, March 23, at Kenton Manor Living Center. Mr. Peppler was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to George and Mary (Schmidt) Peppler. Home-tutored in Scottsbluff, he was a member of the Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. He sold greeting cards and German records for 26 years when he lived on 3rd Avenue in Scottsbluff. He painted pictures until his hands became immobile. In 1974, Mr. Peppler moved to the nursing home in Bayard, Neb., and on Sept 1, 1988, he came to live at Kenton Manor in Greeley. He delivered mail for two years at the manor and enjoyed meeting and visiting with the people. He always had a smile and was a loving, caring, positive person. He enjoyed bingo, dominos, German polka music and cards. He was an avid Bronco fan. Survivors are two nieces, Cherie Osborn of Cedar City, Utah, and Nanette Hall of Des Moines, Iowa; a nephew, Perry Burroughs of Kerrville, Texas; two grandnieces, Chantel Bruce of Colorado Springs and Tiffany Osborn of Cedar City; five grandnephews, Perry Lynn Burroughs Jr. of Houston, David Osborn and Andrew Osborn, both of Las Vegas, and Allan Hall and Ira Hall, both of Des Moines; three aunts, Pauline Schlotthauer of Eaton, Mollie Weiderspon of Windsor and Lyda Dunbar of Grover; and many cousins in the Greeley, Windsor and Nebraska areas. His parents, a sister Maureen and a nephew are deceased. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral services also will be at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Interment will be in Scottsbluff. Memorial gifts may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, CO 80634
