Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 03-08-02 Talitha Werner Talitha “Tillie” Werner, 83, of Greeley, died Wednesday, March 6, at Fairacres Manor Nursing Home in Greeley. Mrs. Werner was born Jan. 21, 1919, to John and Katherine (Dupper) Oster in La Salle. On Nov. 3, 1942, she married David Werner in El Paso, Texas. He died April 24, 1996. Mrs. Werner attended grade school at Beebe Draw School and graduated from Campion Academy in 1938. She then attended Union College in Lincoln, Neb., as a pre-nursing student, and graduated from nursing school at Boulder Sanitarium and Hospital in 1942. She worked at Camp Cook Station Hospital until October 1945. Mrs. Werner then worked at the Weld County General Hospital, now known as North Colorado Medical Center, and as a private duty nurse until 1968. She was a former member of the Colorado Nurses Association. Survivors are a sister, Evelyn Werner of Leesburg, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Betty Koke and Edna Oster, and two brothers, Ray Oster and Dan Oster Sr., are deceased. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Beebe Draw Cemetery near La Salle. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Adamson Memorial Downtown Chapel. Contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity or organization.
