Loveland newspaper Loveland, Colorado 03-10-02 Lois Farrell Resler Walker, 73, of Loveland, died March 8, 2002, at North Shore Health Care Facility in Loveland. She was born Oct. 21, 1928, on the family farm near Dewey, Ill., to Roland and Faye Resler. She graduated from Fisher High School in 1946 and attended Illinois Commercial College. The Resler family was named Farm Family of the Year at the 1946 Illinois State Fair. She married Robert F. Walker on May 7, 1948, in Champaign, Ill. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Arkansas with many friends and family. They lived in Munster, Ind., for 38 years and retired to Bull Shoals, Ark., in 1987. They moved to Loveland in 1999. She worked as an executive secretary for the Munster Chamber of Commerce in Indiana and as a news carrier supervisor for the Hammond Times. She was a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader at the South-Side Christian Church, a volunteer driver for the Visiting Nurses Association and a volunteer at the Dyer hospital. In Arkansas, she was active in the Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary, the Ambassadors Club and the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the kitchen band that performed at nursing homes. She enjoyed many crafts, including needlework, crocheting and crewel. She enjoyed being "Rosie the Clown" at community functions. She is survived by her husband, Bob Walker of Loveland; three sons, Robert F. Walker Jr. and wife Sue Martin of Greenfield, Mass., Kenneth E. Walker and wife Judy of Homewood, Ill., and Edwin F. Walker of Loveland; a daughter, Sally K. Kisselbach and husband Paul of Loveland; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Robert Resler of Farmer City, Ill., Richard Resler of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Max Resler of Watseka, Ill.; and a sister, Corinne Crowley of Thawville, Ill. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Diener. Private family services will be conducted.
