Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 04-08-02 : Ernest Orthman : Ernest Harris Orthman, 81, died Saturday, April 6, at North Colorado Medical : Center. He was born June 8, 1920, in Milliken to Edward Max and Harriet : (Luther) Orthman. He married Mary Gesick in Greeley on Nov. 29, 1942. He was : stationed in Missouri during World War II. After the service he worked for : the Farr Company, which later became Ellis and Capp Equipment, for 34 years. : He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and past member of the Moose : Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing and camping as well as taking his grand and : great-grandchildren for rides on the riding mower. He enjoyed playing cards, : bowling and working on his yard and woodworking. Survivors are his wife, : Mary of Greeley; four daughters, Barbara Good of Anchorage, Patricia Hoffner : of Loveland, Sandra Orthman of Salt Lake City and Sherry Walter of Gilcrest; : nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by : his parents and a brother, Donald Orthman. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at : Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery. : Friends may visit from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today at the Macy Chapel of Allnutt : Funeral Service.
