Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 07-06-02 Alec Meyer Alec Felker Meyer, 80, of Stockton, Calif., died Wednesday, June 26, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton. Mr. Meyer was born March 20, 1922, in Oberdorf, Russia. At age 2, he immigrated to Windsor. Born a German-Russian, he became an American citizen. He farmed near Greeley and, in 1958, moved to California. A member of the Teamsters Union, he worked until retirement driving trucks in Los Angeles. He was married 61 years. He loved visiting family and friends and telling tales of family history. Survivors are his wife, Elaine Meyer; a son, Kent Meyer of Stockton; a daughter, Karen Hill of Frankfort, Ky.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Conrad Felker of Greeley; and many nephews and nieces in Weld County. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. Private memorial services were conducted. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
