My father, Heinrich Zeiler, was born 09/28/1891 in Frank, Russia. He emigrated to America in 1912, first settling in Hiawatha, MI (?). When his wife (my mother) Anna Maria (Uhrich) and infant son, Heinrich (Henry) emigrated to America, they settled in Lincoln, NB. where Heinrich worked for a railroad. From there they went to Racine, WI, working as hired hands on a large vegetable farm. They then moved to a rented farm in Sturtevant, WI. and from there to Franksville, WI where they bought their own farm. Before retiring, Heinrich (by now known as Henry) built and owned two houses. One to live in and one to rent out. I admire the fortitude and the work ethics of the Germans from Russia emigrants. My parents, who came to America with nothing, raised seven children and still ended up home and land owners. Their American Dream was realized! (I'm sure this is story that can proudly be repeated in many German immigrant homes.) Sincerely, Gloria (Zeiler) Bielefeldt
