He was given a Naval Commendation for performance of > duty in 1952. > > He attended Northeastern Junior College, where he played on their first > football team. Bob graduated from the University of Colorado School of > Pharmacy in December 1950. > > Bob began his pharmacy career at Croft Drug in Sterling. In November 1960, > Bob and Helen opened Walker Pharmacy on S. 3rd Ave. In April 1985, Walker's > moved to its present location on West Main. He was a life member of Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336, Masonic > Lodge No. 54, VFW Post No. 3541 and American Legion Post No. 20. > > Bob was a great outdoorsman. He was a founding member of the Northeastern > Game and Fish Club and served several terms as president. In 1967 he and > other club members were instrumental in starting the club's Guenzi Goose > Project. > > He was active in Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever, serving on many > committees.
