    3. Loveland newspaper Loveland., Colorado 12-23-01 Evelyn A. Hoffman Evelyn A. Hoffman, 67, of Loveland, died Dec. 20, 2001, at her home. She was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Dimock, S.D., to Alvin H. and Alma H. Geidel. She married Marvin Hoffman on Nov. 11, 1953, in Dimock. They owned and managed the Tastee Freeze Drive Inn in Highmore, S.D., 1965-1969, then moved to Loveland in 1969. Mrs. Hoffman worked in production for Hewlett-Packard for 19 years, retiring in 1998. She also worked as the cook manager at the Larimer County Vocational-Technical School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She liked to do cake decorating; she baked wedding cakes and made gingerbread houses. She loved traveling, camping and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Hoffman of Loveland; a son, Richard H. Hoffman of Loveland; a daughter, Vickie L. Hoffman of Greeley; brothers Gerhard Geidel and Alvin Geidel Jr., of Mitchell, S.D., Donald Geidel of Dimock, and Harvey Geidel of Parkston, S.D.; sisters Nelda Neugebauer and Margaret Sheets of Mitchell, and Irma Geidel of Loveland; and grandson Eric Hoffman of Loveland. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janis R. Hoffmanon Nov. 21; a brother; two sisters; and her parents. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Cindy Wolfe and the Rev. Kim Latterell officiating. Private graveside services will be Monday at Loveland Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Diana Fish Foundation, Hospice of Larimer County, or Zion Lutheran Church in care of Viegut Funeral Home. Back to the top (21) I J
