    2. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [GV] Weld County Colorado 1920 G-R census index now online From: Patrice Miller <patricem@wco.com> To: GER-VOLGA-L@rootsweb.com Gene Jenkins has done it again. The Weld County, Colorado 1920 census index is now online at: http://www.webbitt.com/volga/ Click on the link that says Census indexes. This is truely an amazing index, Gene Jenkins has extracted 7,440 individuals in approximately 1,220 households! This was the largest German Russian county yet. It includes the towns towns of Windsor, Fort Lupton and Greeley. That makes nearly 30,000 German Russian individuals that Gene has extracted. Patrice Miller

    2. Donald Bielefeldt
    3. My father, Heinrich Zeiler, was born 09/28/1891 in Frank, Russia. He emigrated to America in 1912, first settling in Hiawatha, MI (?). When his wife (my mother) Anna Maria (Uhrich) and infant son, Heinrich (Henry) emigrated to America, they settled in Lincoln, NB. where Heinrich worked for a railroad. From there they went to Racine, WI, working as hired hands on a large vegetable farm. They then moved to a rented farm in Sturtevant, WI. and from there to Franksville, WI where they bought their own farm. Before retiring, Heinrich (by now known as Henry) built and owned two houses. One to live in and one to rent out. I admire the fortitude and the work ethics of the Germans from Russia emigrants. My parents, who came to America with nothing, raised seven children and still ended up home and land owners. Their American Dream was realized! (I'm sure this is story that can proudly be repeated in many German immigrant homes.) Sincerely, Gloria (Zeiler) Bielefeldt

    3. I am researching the line of my father, Heinrich Zeiler, born 09/28/1891 in Frank, Russia. I have his lineage all the way to my GGGG Grandfather, Andreas Zeiler, born 1739 or 1742, died 1808 in Frank. I would like to know more about my father's immediate family...(do I have cousins in America?) My Father, Heinrich's siblings were: Jacob, born 04/15/1886. Jacob, his wife Anna Maria (Kroning) and a daughter emigrated to America in 1906. Place unknown. This was a surprise as my father never mentioned having a brother in America. Heinrich's other siblings were: Conrad, born 08/31/1888 Georg, born 12/05/1893 (My father came to America at the age of 21 after being drafted into the Russian army. He used his brother's name and I believe it was Georg's passport that he used. I wonder what happened to Georg?) Friedrich, born 08/20/1897 Elisabeth, born 1899 All were born in Frank, Russia. I am new to all this, so please forgive me if I am not accurate in how I make my requests. I know that many records were destroyed or lost, but is there some way to find out what happened to my father's siblings? Except for Jacob, the information I have ends with them being born! Sincerely, Gloria (Zeiler) Bielefeldt
