    3. Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 04-06-02 Nadine D. Moore, 77, of Johnstown died Thursday, April 4, at North Colorado Medical Center. Born May 10, 1924, in Berthoud to Wilber and Marie (Fahrenbruch) Buehler, she attended the old Berthoud School for eight years and then graduated from Berthoud High School. On May 10, 1946, she married George K. Moore in St. Francis, Kan. He died April 17, 1998. Mrs. Moore enjoyed her family, cooking and sports, especially baseball. She was a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2585 of Johnstown. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens centers in both Johnstown and Milliken. Survivors are a daughter, Sherry Ullmann of Johnstown; a son, Gary Keith Moore of Greeley; a sister, Rose Marie Kite of Loveland; two brothers, Edwin Buehler of Berthoud and Robert E. Buehler of Loveland; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter Stephanie Ullmann, a brother Floyd Buehler and an infant sister Delores are deceased. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Johnstown United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Johnstown Cemetery. Friends may visit from noon-8 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home.     2. Yakima Herald Republic Yakima, Washington April 7, 2002 NEWTON, KS. - Louise E. SEIBEL, 88, died April 4, 2002 at Newton, Kansas. She was born August 10, 1913, at Marion County, KS., the daughter of Dietrich S. and Anna Klassen. She married Arthur H. Seibel on August 16, 1936 in Marion County, KS. He died April 15, 1997. Louise was a Homemaker, Seamstress and an Artist. She was a member of the Nazarene and the Newton Senior Center. She loved to quilt, create oil paintings, sewed dresses, as a home buiness, musican and she loved to make things for her family and friends. Survivors include; three sons Stuart D. of Yakima, WA.; Dr. Stanford G. of Yankton SD.; and Steve D. of McPherson, KS.; one brother Arnold P. Kalssen of Hilsboro, KS.; one sister Alice A. Ulsh of Hutchinson, KS., eight Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren. Funderal Services will be at the First Church of Nazarene in Newton, KS. At 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002.     3. Loveland FYI Loveland, Colorado 04-05-02 Jon Edith Koehn, 84, of Loveland, died March 30, 2002, in Loveland. She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Alto, Tenn., to Anderson and Eliza Clark Garner. She graduated from Franklin City High School in Tennessee and attended Murfreesboro State Teachers College and Chicago School of Nursing. She married Sam Koehn on July 17, 1944, in Dodge City, Kan. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Busy Bee Club in Kit Carson for many years. She enjoyed gardening and reading the Bible. Mrs. Koehn is survived by two daughters, Leola Brownfield of Loveland, and Katie Shea of Purcell, Okla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, three sisters, one daughter, and one grandchild. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church, 1730 W. 12th St. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

    3. Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 04-05-02 Amelia Smith Amelia Anna Smith, 99, of Greeley, formerly of Keenesburg, died Wednesday, April 3, at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She was born Jan. 6, 1903, in Athol, Kan., to Joe and Minnie (Freling) Giese. On Dec. 26, 1922, she married Donald L. Smith in Sterling. He died in October 1982. Mrs. Smith moved from Athol as a young girl to southwest of Sterling. She met her husband there. She devoted her life to her family. She loved needlework and was exceptional at crocheting, embroidery and tatting. She was on a bowling league with her husband. Survivors are a daughter, Laura McCartney of Greeley; a son, Lyle L. Smith of Keenesburg; a sister, Mabel Giese of Roundup, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A son, Harold Smith, a daughter, Donna Gray, and four brothers are deceased. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Linn Grove Cemetery. On Jan. 9, 1920, she married Alexander Pope in Otis, : Kan. He died May 16, 1957. Mrs. Pope had lived in Greeley since 1933. He was born Jan. 3, 1908, to Fredrick and Sophia (Matthies) Freese in Hutchinson County, S.D. On June 21, 1941, he married Wilhelmina Van Veldhuizen in Nebraska. Mr. Freese moved to Boulder County in 1979 from Texas and to Longmont in 1993. He was a printer, working in custom printing. Mr. Freese was a member of Eternal Savior Lutheran Church of Lafayette. He enjoyed working on cars as a weekend mechanic and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking in the mountains and hunting. He was a devoted father. Mr. Freese was preceded in death by his wife in 1967, a brother and two sisters. He is survived by a son, Brian Freese of Longmont; a sister, Norma Franz and her husband Elmer of Denver; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Eternal Savior Lutheran Church of Lafayette, with the Rev. Paul Rhode of the church officiating. She graduated from Akron High School in 1937 and married Carroll : Ross on Sept. 23, 1941, in Akron. : : She worked as a secretary to the school superintendent from 1937 to 1942. : She worked at the Remington Arms Factory in Denver from 1942-43 as an : accurate typist, a great asset since each document consisted of ten carbon : copies. She helped build the trucking business including driving a large : semi-tractor trailer in the last years they owned the trucking line. She : worked in the Hall Grain Bird Seed Plant from 1971 to 1979 and later worked : at Goodman Realty as a secretary. : : After retirement she enjoyed traveling to Australia, Germany, London, Costa : Rica and the Yucatan. : : Mrs. Ross' family was very important to her, and coming from a large family, : she had many family events and celebrations to attend.     3. Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 03-24-02 Elmer G. Peppler, 73, of Greeley died Saturday, March 23, at Kenton Manor Living Center. Mr. Peppler was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to George and Mary (Schmidt) Peppler. Home-tutored in Scottsbluff, he was a member of the Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. He sold greeting cards and German records for 26 years when he lived on 3rd Avenue in Scottsbluff. He painted pictures until his hands became immobile. In 1974, Mr. Peppler moved to the nursing home in Bayard, Neb., and on Sept 1, 1988, he came to live at Kenton Manor in Greeley. He delivered mail for two years at the manor and enjoyed meeting and visiting with the people. He always had a smile and was a loving, caring, positive person. He enjoyed bingo, dominos, German polka music and cards. He was an avid Bronco fan. Survivors are two nieces, Cherie Osborn of Cedar City, Utah, and Nanette Hall of Des Moines, Iowa; a nephew, Perry Burroughs of Kerrville, Texas; two grandnieces, Chantel Bruce of Colorado Springs and Tiffany Osborn of Cedar City; five grandnephews, Perry Lynn Burroughs Jr. of Houston, David Osborn and Andrew Osborn, both of Las Vegas, and Allan Hall and Ira Hall, both of Des Moines; three aunts, Pauline Schlotthauer of Eaton, Mollie Weiderspon of Windsor and Lyda Dunbar of Grover; and many cousins in the Greeley, Windsor and Nebraska areas. His parents, a sister Maureen and a nephew are deceased. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral services also will be at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Interment will be in Scottsbluff. Memorial gifts may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, CO 80634

Carl will be fondly remembered by his loving and devoted wife of forty-two years, Ruth; children, Rob (Suzanne), Kelly (Gord) Grayson, Kevin (Betty), and Curt; grandchildren, Megan, Vickie, Justin, Jessica, Jonathan, and Christopher; mother Sarah; sisters, Charlotte Nickoleffee, Valeria (Jim) Thorburne, Darthy Jean (Bill) Engelman; mother-in-law Irene Coghill; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
