Hi, Dwayne, Many years ago I copied all the Rudd entries from the index of the book, Norwich Vital Records. This was only the index, but I think I looked up most, if not all, of them. There were many entries for Nathaniel Rudd. I have a notebook page with entries from page 50 of this book: [I'm sure the dates were written out, but this is the way I copied them] Nathaniel Rudd and Mary Post m. 4/16/1685 Jonathan Rudd b. 5/22/1693 Mary Rudd b. 2/3/1695-6 Lidea Rudd b. 6/22/1697 Mary the wife d. Nov. 1705 Nathaniel Rudd and Abigael Hartshorn m. 1/3/1705-6 Nathaniel b. 4/6/1707 Joseph b. 10/31/1708 Daniell b. 3/12/1709-10 Sarah b. 1/23/1711-12 Abigaell b. 8/6/1713 Lydea b. 4/12/1715 Ann b. 2/7/1716-17 Susanna b. 5/15/1719 Gideon b. 2/2/1721-2 Patience b. Nov. 1723 I would need to look at the book again to be sure the marriage record was really in there. You might be able to find the book somewhere or maybe someone else on the list has access to it. It almost seems as if your 1692 date would be more logical since the first child wasn't born until 1693. About Franklin, CT, here is what Dorothy Rudd DuMond says about Nathaniel(2) Rudd in her book: Nathaniel(2) Rudd, b. 1652, settled at West Farms, now Franklin, Conn., in the part which is now Bozrah, and later in Norwich where he was one of the organizers of the first church there. He seems to have prospered as he left at his death an estate valued at 689 pounds. He died in April, 1727 in Bozrah. In "Genealogist's Handbook for New England Research," it says that the Parent Town for Franklin was Norwich and Franklin was established in 1786. Bozrah has the same information and was established in 1786. So that was a long time after your Nathaniel and Mary (Post) Rudd would have been there. Hmmm, always puzzles! Hope this helps you.
