    3. Hi, Cousins, I have recently received the new NGS CDs and, of course, checked to see what they might have on Rudd! Here are a few goodies; I think they are mostly for the southern Rudd families, but let's see! Vol. 8, page 29, Marriage Licenses in the District of Columbia: Rudd, Rich'd A., to Ward, Elizabeth, by I. Robbins, July 26, 1821. Vol. 13, page 5, Kentucky Marriage Records, Jefferson County, 1800 to 1826: #1764, Rudd, James, 10, 11, 1821 [Oct. 11, 1821], Nancy Phillips, dau. Thomas. Vol. 22, page 16, Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Applications, James Burnham was listed as serving from Nov. 12, 1776, 2 mos. in Capt. Jonathan Rudd's Co., Col. Brown's Regt.--dis. Jan. 12, '77. Vol. 22, page 53, Marriages performed by Nehemiah Waterman, Jr., J.P., New London Co., Conn., by Mrs. Maud Holly Waterman, Washington, D.C.: Dec. 16, 1781, Andrew Rudd to Rebecca Penniman, both of Norwich; Jan. 29, 1784, Silliom Harris to Elizabeth Rudd, both of Norwich. Vol. 64, page 58, Covenant - First Presbyterian Church Records, Cincinnati: Rudd, Sally, adm. 3 July 1830. Vol. 65, page 234, Some Amelia County, Virginia, Colonists, 1737-1745, by Lloyd Dewitt Bockstruck: Rudd, Hannah, 12 Aug. 1737 (32). [Entries consist of the following information: name(s) of individual claiming head right, date of court record, place of origin, year of arrival in the colony, and (in parentheses) page number of the original record. The records are abstracted from the first court order book.] Vol. 65, page 281, Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 1751-1760: Rudd, Charles, of Piscatua, Maryland, bachelor. Administration to mother Ann Rudd, widow (Sept. 1752). Vol. 68, p. 101, The First 52 Years of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Alexandria, VA 1809-1861, by Ruth Lincoln Kaye: Allen, Andrew, of Fairfax Co., m. Mary Rudd of Fairfax Co., 8 Oct. 1822 (C-4) Vol. 69, p. 285, continuation of the above article: King, Judson, m. Ann Rudd in Fairfax Co., 6 Aug. 1822 (C-4). Vol. 71, p. 17, New York City Apprentices: Googlet, Henry, app. to Stephen Rudd, house-carpenter. Complaint that master has left NYC and gone to Ireland and neglected to teach his trade. Discharged. 7 Feb. 1795. Vol. 71, page 152, Northern California Bounty Land Grantees: Rudd, William, Pvt., Col. Markham's Co., Utah Militia, Utah Indian Dist. Santa Clara Co. and Colusa Co. Vol. 72, page 141, Genealogical Gleanings in England, Passengers & Ships to America 1618-1668: Ship, Peter; Master, John Rudd; Port, London; Destination: Virginia; Reference, 52/1; Date, 25 Aug. 1668; Shipper or Passenger, [goods by] James Blatt; [goods by] John Butts; 28 Aug. 1668, [goods by] William White. Supplement 1, page 938, Index of Revolutionary War Pension Applications: Rudd, Andrew, Conn., Cont., S30077; Archer, Va., S6040; Benjamin, Va. Sea Service, Susan, W5756; Bezabel, N.Y., S10001; Burlingham, N.C., Mary V., W20038, BLWt. 28555-160-55; Daniel, Conn., Navy, Abigail, W22187; BLWt. 7209-160-55; John, Va., S17065; Joseph, Vt., Sarah, W17582; Nathaniel, Conn., S21461; William, Conn., Eunice, W22188, There was supposed to be something about a George Rudd on page 98 of Supplement IV, but I sure can't find him; these were Passports Issued by Governors of Georgia 1810-1820. Another thing wrong with the second disk in this set is that once you get to Volume 65, the citation at the bottom of the pages are all the same, "Volume 65, Early New Yorkers and Their Ages." This is a big time pain, as you have to write down info on the correct title and volume on the printed out sheet. Anyway, hope there's something good in here for somebody! Let me know if you make any hits. Joann Nichols [email protected]
