    1. Re: Civil War Rudd Photos
    2. Hi Ceila,Joann and the R-Gang My husband's GreatGrandfather, Albert Delos Herrick, was also attached to the NYS 10th Vol, Heavy Artillery. He was with Company K, however: and he mustered in from Jefferson County. His unit was associated with the Battles of Cold Harbor, Wilderness, the seige of St Petersburg, Spotsylvania and others. I believe that he mustered in late in the War, after Gettysburg. I'm also thinking that if the Rudd's were in Company A--they must have been in from the get go. I have a pamphlet called 'Bugles Echo Across the Valley', which list Oswego county units of 24th,81st,110th,147th and 184th Infantry units and 24th Cavalry. This book lists a couple of sources that might be helpful. the Adjutant General's Office has a series of 43 volumes with thumbnail service records for each man. The Onondaga (Syracuse) and Albany libraries have a full set of Annual reports as these are called.(New York State of course) Two other books are Frederick L Phisterer's, NEW YORK IN THE WAR OF THE REBELLION,1861-1865, which are released in different year versions. If I get the time???? That never happens Vera Mae
