Hi, Cousins, I recently received a notice about the Rudd Family Reunion - the 53rd. This year's reunion will be held on Sunday, August 2, 1998 at the Arlington Lion's Recreation Park, Arlington, VT. The group photograph will be at 12 noon. This picnic will be rain or shine as there is a pavilion with grills available. Other amenities are: a 9 hole par 3 golf course, tennis, volleyball and swimming. So bring your golf clubs and swim suits and sunshine!! Please bring a coered dish, salad and/or dessert to share; and a place setting and beverage for yourself. After lunch we will have the Silent Teacup Auction for which we are requesting you bring an unwrapped gift. For our regular auction we need inexpensive, wrapped gifts marked for male/female, adult/child. Hope to see you there on Sunday, August 2, 1998 at the Arlington Rec Park!!!! Then there is a sketch of how to get there. Last year was the first year I went. I can't remember how the Silent Teacup Auction went; I know I didn't bring anything for either of the auctions. There isn't too much discussion of genealogy, but there is some during the business meeting. The majority of people attending are descendants of Joseph(4) and Sarah (Story) Rudd, but they welcome anyone interested. As this is not my line (I'm from Increase(4) and Bathsheba (Johnson)), I thought I might feel uncomfortable, but they were glad to get someone new with an interest.
