Hi, Judy and other cousins, I was just looking through the Family History of Rudd, written by, we think, Lucy Keller, and found info on your Vernera Smith. On page 21 of this document is info on #93, Joseph Rudd, son of Joseph(4) and Sarah (Story) Rudd: JOSEPH, born April 13, 1777, married Varners Smith, daughter of Gains and Keziah Smith, born September 26, 1781. They moved to western New York where Joseph died April 2, 1853. Mrs. Rudd died February 9, 1851. Going to page 30 it lists the children of Joseph and Varnera (Smith) Rudd: Gains, born 1802, married Lydia Fillmore, died 1875. No children. Kesia, born 1804, married ----- Matteson, Abel. Sally, born 1806, married ----- Bilyea, died March 25, 1897. Joseph, born 1808, married Sophia Hills, Pioneer of Matteson, MI, 1839. Myra, born 1810, married Mr. Colefrove, died Sept. 13, 1887 [wonder if this shouldn't be Colegrove]. Leurendus S., born April 19, 1815; married March 20 1851, Margaret Chase, born May 13, 1825. Mr. Rudd was born in Edmonton, Otsego County, NY. Moved to Matteson, MI; next in 1883 to Bronson where he died Dec. 27, 1884. Mrs. Rudd died Nov. 8, 1902. Vernera, born 1816, married Mr. Mather Babcock (Elisha), died 1900. Louisa, born 1820, married Mr. Mather. Francis.
