Joann-- I have links on my website to WinZip and PKZip. I'll clue you in when I get the files uploaded as to how to get the program to work on them. Thanks for the tip on Milton's info. Frankly, some of the stuff he sent had some incorrect dates and info, so I'm being fairly cautious about relying on it. I just thought that he might have a few tidbits that we didn't, and maybe they'd help us find more. -----Original Message----- From: Joann H. Some of the items he would have sent you regarding Silas, Jr. and wives, Almina and Nancy Ann, came from me. Probably the information regarding Joel came from me; however I didn't have 1856 as a date of death. He is an ancestor of our Doug Rudd, and we know Joel was still living in 1883 as he's on a list of veterans of the War of 1812. I don't find him in the veteran's census of 1890, but that might just be for Civil War veterans. Perhaps you should ask him for citations for the items you question. I also have received another letter from him, and there's something in there that I question. When you get the correspondence all uploaded, you'll have to tell me how to unzip files! I don't have PKZip of any of those utilities. Best, Joann
