Hi Shirley, We estimate that Jonathan Rudd was born ca 1620 and first shows up in US records in 1640. I believe Captain John Rudd of Virginia also arrived in the 1600's, but I couldn't give you any more accurate date. Perhaps Linda Reams or someone else could fill us in?
