Dear Ann, I read your message in RUDD-L Rootsweb. We have a Susan Rudd b. in 1853 in SC, the daughter of John Rudd b. in SC in 1813. Her mother was Mary Adams also from SC. Susan is the eldest of 8 children that I know of. They are William b.1846, Belle b.1847/48, John Joseph b. 1850, Sanford b. 1852, Robert b. 1854, James b. 1856, and Yancy Clarence b. 1859 in Opelika, Alabama. I do not know where the middle 6 children were born, whether in SC or Alabama. If any of these Rudds are of interest to you, please let me know. I would like to know where and how you go about checking the census records in SC, also Ala. I would appreciate your help, Thanks, Barbara Rudd
