I'm a Michigan Rudd. Family came from Ireland to Eastern Ontario in 1820 and my great-grandparents moved to Big Rapids, MI, in the late 19th century. They had 4 kids, the youngest was my grandfather. I have the whole family line......part of the Irish Rudds in the genealogy book published by the Rudd Family Research Association. I was born in Muskegon. There were enough overlaps I was convinced he must be part on my lineage, but I can't find him anywhere in my line. There are 10 family lines in this book of Irish Rudds and only 2 Edwards in hundreds of years in all these lines. Guessing Edward isn't a popular Irish name? Anyway, the two I found weren't this man. Just noting message wasn't ignored by a Michigan Rudd. I did look.
