Hi, Julanne, I believe that Johnson died about 1817 in Middletown, at least his probate gives that impression. He and Abigail had eight children that I know of, David, Leonard, Olive, Clarissa, Vincent, Erastus, Barak and Sanford. Barak was born 29 Feb. 1812 or 1813, according to Celia Snyder and Kevin Stephenson, and died 12 Oct. 1900 in Joliet, IL, according to Kevin. This is his line. Celia is descended from Johnson and Abigail and I believe she knows a great deal about the second marriage and Rudds in general. We haven't been able to discover Abigail Brown's ancestry as yet. Celia is the listowner of the Rudd Mail List. I'm not sure I have Kevin's latest e-mail address, but Celia's is cgsnyder@uiuc.edu In fact I guess I'll send a copy of this to the Rudd Mail List and perhaps someone can help you. I don't know what Middletown Church Records the DAR has. I know that I've copied a lot of the Baptist Church Records and some of the Congregational Church Records. The Congregational Church has the baptism of the following: Jan. 15th 1809, Abigail, consort to Johnson Rudd; David, Vincent, Leonard, Olive, Erastus, children of Abigail Rudd. I did not find where the other five children might have been baptized. I'd be interested in knowing who the person is that descends from this line and how she descends.
