There was a Benjamin Rudd in Bedford and Lincoln Counties, TN. (same area), also ck Moore County, next to them. There are lots of Rudds in that area, mostly Lincoln County., Tennessee. My great grandmother came to Lincoln County from N.C. sometime between 1800 when she was born and 1819 when she m. James Kyser. There was a deed of land between Franklin Rudd and Philip Kyser I picked up while in Fayetteville, Tn. I do not know who Frances Rudd's father was. Franklin would be the age to be her brother. James and Frances came to Texas in 1845 while Texas was a Republic, settling on a land grant in Mercer's Colony, 20 miles east of Dallas. Edith Kyser Smith, Irving, Texas
