    1. Re: Extra, Uncounted RUDDS

    3. I have a James Rudd mystery as well. My grand father, James Rudd born in Minot North Dakota, Feb.22 1900. Who were his parents? Family tradition says they are Norweigian Rudd's. Family tradition says his parents were perhaps James Rudd (born between 1840 and 1860), or James Christopher Rudd, or Chris Rudd... The wife was apparently known as "Jan" or Jenny". Other spellings include "Ruud". There are a whole mess of Rudd's in North Dakota, Canada, Minesota that don't seem closely related to the line of Rudd's most often mentioned here. Supposedly descended from Eric the Red (Rudd, Ruud, ruddy). Any one else out there working on this line?
