Have been searching for and finally found an answer as to what happened to : Lousia Rudd b. 1819/20 in New York married to Henry G. Oaks in St Joseph Cty (Laporte IN) 11-13-1845. Am still trying to determine her parents. Joseph Rudd and Venerna Smith had a daughter named Lousia born in 1820, but this Louisa married someone else and by elmination they are not the parents. My Louisa Rudd Oaks died of consumption April 2, 1855 in Laporte. I have discovered some additional Rudds in Laporte and I am hoping these clues will lead me to Louisa's parents: Richard Rudd b. 1-5-1825 d. 6-10-1858 he was a Mexican War soldier and was buried with honors. George W Rudd b. 5-17-1838 d. 12-17-1860. Please help if anything sound familiar about Richard or George. Thanks Terry Grand Rapids MI
