I haven't gone any further back with my RUDD line than mid 1800s when they were still in Grantham (where my origins are) There were two RUDD families in Grantham at that time - historically, supposedly unrelated according to my mum ( but I'm sure they were.) I know there Norfolk Rudd roots but I haven't had any time to do any more lately. I have been trying to contact other UK RUDD researchers to share info, so I'm glad you have got in touch. I am waiting for a book about an Irish RUDD family from the States, it apparently contains a lot of the info from Mary Amelia Rudd's book on the family, published in the 20's and now only for reference in The British Library & Lincoln Ref. section. I can see what Norfolk info it contains if you haven't already explored this route. Jane
