It appears to me that the other possible children of the 2nd have not been explored? Traditional records of the line indicated that Burlingham 2nd eventually moved into Goose Creek SC and married Mary Whaley, do you know if this is the case? In trying to determine the possible generations since the arrival of the 1st in NC, I have found several Burlingham Rudd males in the same age range in several locations in the same census year. It looks to me that the Burlingham Rud in the 1800 Chesterfield census is the right age to be in the 3rd generation. Could this be your Burlingham 3rd?
